To say that Maqām Festival is sustained by community means that its pulse comes from those who believe in the maqam music - artists, scholars, institutions, volunteers, and supporters.
Rooted in Cairo, Maqām Festival is an initiative dedicated to the preservation and celebration of the maqām music traditions of West Asia, North Africa, and beyond. Our initiative relies on shared values, artistic collaboration, and collective support.

Ways to Support

• Become a Founding Patron
  Join us at the beginning. We are forming a circle of early supporters - Friends and Patrons - whose belief in the mission of Maqām Festival helps bring it to life. This group will form the backbone of our growth, supporting major artistic and scholarly projects with their philanthropic spirit.
• Support our Non-Profit in Egypt 
  Support Cairo-based non-profit organization by contributing directly to Cairo concerts, musical residencies and workshop. 

  Our Cairo base is officially registered with the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity under number 11740 for the year 2023.

• Collaborate or Invite a Program
  We welcome institutions, festivals, and individuals to partner with us in curating artistic or academic programs rooted in the maqām music tradition. Each collaboration is tailored - whether in the form of a concert, research, music residences, roundtable or community workshop.
• Support a Specific Project or Artist Host 
  Support a specific performance, research project, or music residency. Collaboration opportunities are available for institutions and individuals seeking to align their cultural support with mission.
• Host or Offer In-Kind Support
  Contribute by providing accommodation, rehearsal or event spaces, production assistance, transportation, or other forms of logistical or in-kind support essential to the realization of our programs.
